Directors

Barry Brennan has been practising architecture in Ireland since 2006 and has won architectural design awards in the United Kingdom for his designs.

Educated in Ireland, England: University of Bedfordshire & Scotland: University of Strathclyde, he enjoys finding solutions to complex design problems and has worked on projects in the recreational & housing sector ranging from €50k domestic extensions to €50 million Hotels.

Barry gained experience in both large and small Engineering and Architectural practices over the years. He set up his own architectural practice in 2015 and went on to merge with a university colleague to form Studio B Architecture in 2021.

Barra Norman is an architect with extensive experience working on one off houses, large scale residential,home renovations,commercial, municipal buildings, ferry terminals, protected structures, healthcare and corporate facilities.

 

Educated in Dublin and London, he has worked and completed projects in Ireland, Cyprus, Germany and Luxembourg and speaks French and German.

 

In Cyprus he was involved in the delivery of the first passiv-haus building in the country and has completed Passiv-Haus training. While working in Dublin he worked on the New National Childrens hospital, the largest current project in the Irish state and the most expensive hospital currently being completed in the world.

 

He spent a number of years working on large scale residential schemes in Ireland and was responsible for getting some of the first “Build to rent” residential schemes through the planning process as well as through the Strategic Housing Development – an Bord Pleanala process.

 

He set up his own office in 2019 and has merged with long time collaborator to form Studio B in 2021
